SHF Daybreak Y02 D287 ET
Daybreak’s offspring are getting more impressive every year. His daughters are really good mother cows, with great udders and good dispositions, they are a real asset to our herd. We have some really good sons in the offering this year. They are out of our very best cows. They are all Homo Polled. Be sure to take a close look at them.
SR Expedition 619G ET
Expedition is the best bull to come along, in our program, in a long, long time. He does it all! Calving ease, great weaning and yearling weights, good udders and great carcass traits. He has been used by some of the breeders in the country, the reports we are getting are just what we expected, everybody loves them! We lost him last summer, so his offspring will be limited in the future. Get in on the ground floor of a great breeding bull.
OBH Wrangler 3137D
Homozygous Polled. Garbonzo is a product of our own program. He’s a son of the Old Gerber bull, that did such a great job for us 10 to 20 years ago. His sons are long, thick and have a lot of natural muscle. His daughters are proving to be good brood cows. Be sure to take a look at his sons.
ECR TSR OBH Standing Ovation
Standing Ovation continues to prove his value around here. His daughters are turning out to be outstanding cows. 843J, 835J and 850J mothers are all daughters of Standing Ovation. We only have one son, in his year’s offering, but next year we will have a lot more.
MSU Revolution 4R
Revolution 4R is one of the most used AI sires of the Hereford breed. He breeds a lot of performance and has great carcass traits. His daughters are some of the best cows in every herd he is used in. We have some of his daughters that are great young cows. Use his sons to raise good performing steers and keep the daughters in your herd.
OBH HARLAND 611Y
The 611Y bull was selected to use on yearling heifers and he worked good. We never assisted any of his calves out of first calf heifers. His sons should work good on heifers.
PYRAMID 4029 THOR 022
The 22X bull was our pick and the top selling bull at Mark and Nate Fredrick- son’s 2011 bull sale. We choose him to replace the “Gerber” bull as our natural breeding herd sire. Like his sire, THOR 4029, he sires calves with a lot of natural thickness, length and depth of body. He also adds pigment to his calves. When we had him semen tested before turning him out with our fall cowherd in 2013. Our local vet said he is the most fertile bull that he has ever tested in his 33 years of practice. We are looking forward to see how his offspring preforms.
Gerber Leland 069L
"GERBER" is the best all around bull we have ever owned. He was our pick from the Gerber Hereford's dispersion. His daughters are the cornerstone of our cowherd. Most of our cowherd is his daughter or grand daughters. They have perfect udders with great dispositions. They pass on their length of body, small birth weights, and great carcass traits.
We have a good bank of his semen and will start using him again in the next few years.
UPS Domino 3027
3027 is the most used Hereford Bull in the ABS stud.
His calves have low birth weights and grow fast, are thick deep bodied cattle with very good carcass traits.
He is one of the best bulls we have ever used on first calf heifers in a long time. His calves on mature cows express a lot of growth too. He adds a lot of pigment to his offspring.
Our first crop of his daughters will calf this spring (2014). We have heard many good reports on how good his daughters milk. We are looking forward to that.
THR Thor 4029
THOR is another headliner Hereford sire from ABS. He breeds a lot of length, thickness, and depth of body with a lot of performance. His calves are real easy fleshing and are really converters of feed to beef. His daughters are in production in many herds now and proving to be top producers. He is a breed leader in 11 traits. We plan to keep using him a lot in our AI program.
TH 122 711 Victor 719T
719T is a bull that has been used heavy by a lot of Breeder across the country. He is a low birth weight sire that has been used on heifer with great success. His calves grow fast with a lot of depth of body and eye appeal. We are using him on our first calf heifers out the 3027 bull.
